Notice Of Suspension Of Non-Emergency Work-Order Services
18 March 2020
The Board of Directors at a duly called meeting held on March 13, 2020, determined that nonemergency work orders shall be temporarily suspended until such time as state and federal health authorities advise that the current public health concerns created by COVID-19 have abated. Members are advised to continue to submit non-emergency work-orders for Management to log and track, but with the understanding that non-emergency work orders will not be handled until COVID-19 concerns abate.
Emergency work-orders will be addressed as needed although should conditions become such that quarantine measures are directed and in place by law, the Cooperative may be precluded from entering into a member's unit where an emergency work order was requested.
The Board based its decision upon WHO's declaration that COVID-19 is now a Pandemic, review of current CDC recommendations for the American public, and those declarations announced to the American public by the President of the United States on March 11, 2020. The Board conferred with the cooperative attorney in advance of this decision and determined that it is in the best interests of the health, safety and wellness of each Cooperative member and his/her family members residing with him/her, that the annual meeting be adjourned.
The Board will continue to monitor this evolving public health concern and will modify the suspension declared herein when and as permitted upon notification from state and federal health authorities that the COVID-19 public health concern has abated. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
